      Join San Francisco Chamber Orchestra (SFCO) music director Ben Simon, tenor Brian Thorsett, and an allstar team of SFCO musicians for an evening of songs and string quartets by the early Romantic master Felix Mendelssohn. Featured selections include Mendelssohn’s fabulous first quartet, Op. 12 in E flat major and a brilliant arrangement of several songs for tenor and string quartet by Albert Riemann.

      Benjamin Simon
      Music Director, San Francisco and Palo Alto Chamber Orchestras

      Benjamin Simon is a former member of the Stanford String Quartet. He has been teaching Continuing Studies music courses since 1996, and has also organized popular celebrations of Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Schubert, Bartók, Bernstein, Schumann, and Brahms.
