An evening with Expert VLSI & EDA Panelists, Cloud-Native Networking Join us for an exciting panel discussion with top Electronic Design Automation (EDA) & Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) industry experts, pizza, and Synopsys recruiters. PLUS a discussion with Ryland Degnan, co-founding CTO of Netifi Antun Domic, chief technology officer at Synopsys, will be talking about New Trends in EDA. He'll be joined by Ben Ting, Micron Technology engineer, Extension instructor and chair of the VLSI certificate program; Mandar Munishwar, Google Engineer and Extension instructor; and Sam Huynh, principal member of technical staff at AMD and Extension instructor. They'll lay out the skills people need to succeed in today's job market and discuss the practical, technical, and business applications of these technologies, industry challenges. Meet with Synopsys recruiters, have a little PIZZA. (Thanks Synopsys!) We're offereing a new crop of courses and want to hear what you need most. The second half of the evening will be Ryland Degnan talking about Reactive Cloud-Native Networking with RSocket. Ryland will discuss how RSocket can be used to simplify the way enterprises build and operate cloud-native applications. By allowing developers to focus on their product instead of their network infrastructure, it can dramatically reduce operational overhead and speed development velocity. Degnan's talk, originally scheduled for Jan. 16, is brought to us by the SF Bay ACM Chapter Meetup. Register Early Early Registration: FreeAfter Jan. 2: $5At the Door: $7 This is the second event in our new Engineering and Technology Career Exploration Series. Come by and network while you scope out your future. We prepare you for industry’s current demands. Have questions for our panelists? Let us know! Have questions about individual VLSI or Embedded Systems courses or certificate programs? Connect with our Outreach Team, (408) 861-3860 or ExtensionProgram@ucsc.edu.
