      Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Academy / Los Altos Hills

      CERT (Community Emergency Response Training) training academies are offered in the communities served by the Santa Clara County Fire Department and rotate throughout the year. Some of the skills taught include personal preparedness, organizing resources, basic medical operations, basic search and rescue, how to use a fire extinguisher and basic damage assessment.  The Los Altos Hills CERT Academy is (6) evening sessions and a (1) final skills exercise. Students must attend all seven (7) class meetings to receive a Certificate of Completion.  It is OK to miss a class session, however, we ask that you make up the missed class within one year at a future academy and to attend the Saturday exercise with the make-up academy.  Los Altos Hills CERT Academy is comprised of the following class sessions:Monday       3/9/20   6:00 PM - 9:00 PMWednesday 3/11/20 6:00 PM - 9:00 PMMonday       3/16/20 6:00 PM - 9:00 PMWednesday 3/18/20 6:00 PM - 9:00 PMTuesday      3/24/20 6:00 PM - 9:00 PMWednesday 3/25/20 6:00 PM - 9:00 PMSaturday     3/28/20 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM  This training course is open to individuals who live or work within the communities served by Santa Clara County Fire Department: Cupertino, Campbell, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Saratoga, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills and the unincorporated surrounding areas. If you are interested in attending CERT and do not live or work in the jurisdictions served by the Santa Clara County Fire Department you can attend any of the CERT classes served by SCCFD, however, preference will be given to those who reside in any of the seven (7) SCCFD jurisdictions.  For further questions please visit the web site or contact the Eventbrite organizer listed below for more information on how to attend CERT Academy before registering on Eventbrite.  Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided:  Hard hat, gloves, eye protection, and N95 mask Eventbrite organizer: cert@sccfd.org  For additional information visit www.sccfd.org  Note:  If you need to cancel your tickets, Eventbrite now retains their processing fee and your refund is the base ($35.00) amount.
