      Happy New Year!  Please join us for the first DVClub of 2019 on January 25th at Dave and Buster's for a catered lunch and networking.  Amol Bhinge,  Director at NXP Semiconductors, will be presenting. 11:30am — Doors Open / Networking 12:00pm — Lunch / Presentations by Amol Bhinge (NXP) 1:00pm   — Networking Presentation "FPGA-based Emulation: Selecting the Right Platform" by Amol Bhinge (NXP) Emulation is now established as the mainstream discipline for semiconductor product execution. FPGA based emulation has gained popularity in the last decade primarily because of runtime improvements over other contemporary solution. The presentation will attempt to discuss several factors impacting turnaround time and thus, time to market for FPGA based emulation.  The audience is expected to gain introductory metrics-based knowledge while making decisions on selecting right platform for meeting their FPGA based emulation goals. Amol Bhinge is acting as a Director at NXP Semiconductors in Austin, managing emulation and verification for hardware R&D organization.  Amol has been at NXP Freescale Semiconductor/Motorola for the past 15 years.  He has an MS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.  He has 8 US Patents, all related to verification tools and methodologies.  Amol continues to be the focal point for bringing in new verification technologies, driving collaboration/communications with EDA vendors, prioritizing issues related to vendors, and representing his organization on verification related topics.  He has also served as a member of the Accellera UCIS-TSC that standardized and rolled out UCIS 1.0.  He is a regular contributor to EDA User Group and Verification Conferences.   RSVP NOW and invite some of your colleagues as well!
