      Small Business Seminar: Legal Issues Founders Should Consider

      In this seminar, the presenter will discuss the common legal issues that concern most of the founders in the (1) Planning stage, (2) Operation Stage and (3) Financing Stage. This will be a high-level overview of the legal issues which can be explained in more detail in future series of seminars. Presented by Asian, Inc. Angela Kwok's Bio *********************************************************************************** Angela is the Head of China Practice at Royse Law Firm in Menlo Park. She specializes in general corporate and commercial matters, especially focusing on venture capital financing, fund formation, start-ups business formations and operations, cross-border and domestic investments, mergers and acquisitions and related tax matters. Angela has extensive legal, securities regulation, compliance and tax experiences. She worked as an of counsel with another law firm in Menlo Park, advising startups and founders on business structures, entities formations, and VC financings. Before that, she was an in-house legal counsel in a VC fund house, CBC Capital, managing legal matters with respect to various stages of funds and their investment portfolios in TMT sector in both PRC and US markets.   Prior to joining the fund house, Angela worked with a big-four accounting firm, PwC, focusing in US tax consulting. She had also worked with Linklaters in Hong Kong and a law firm in New York; international investment banks and other financial institutions such as Deutsche Bank and Wells Fargo Bank, providing legal, financial, regulatory and tax advices. Angela received her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2002 and Master of Law (LL. M.) in US Taxation from New York University School of Law in 2003. Angela acquired her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.  Angela is a licensed attorney in both California and New York states.
