      What is a BioBlitz?
‘Bio’ means ‘life’ and ‘Blitz’ means ‘to do something quickly and intensively’. Together they make ‘BioBlitz’, a collaborative race against the clock to discover as many species of plants, animals and fungi as possible, within a set location, over a defined time period - in our case 2 hours along the west bank of Coyote Creek in the vicinity of the East Tasman Drive Bridge in San Jose. We will be using the iNaturalist app on our phones.

No experience necessary. Indeed, a great way to learn about the plants and animals that live in or along, or utilize, the riparian corridor.

Parking, courtesy of Cisco Systems, is in the lot between Cisco Buildings 12 and 13, accessible at 400 East Tasman or 3675 Cisco Way.
